what about the past year though? or does everything get reset at the start of a new season and what's gone before no longer matters?

Re: IF we win tonight
i'm inclined to look after about 8 games ,football is going mad sacking managers after 4 games ,when i was a kid you never saw a league table until about 6/7 games in , we will be fine by the way but "fine" really doesn't cut it with today's "sky ,talksport" generation .

Re: IF we win tonight
Sorry lads I want to see the back of Bilic and the owners but know only the manager can be removed in the immediate future :-(

Would have been perfect if Slav had been the master tactician, coach and strategist I thought he was. 12 months has shown he has not - even allowing for the external disruption.

HE should have been paid the 1 million or so compensation and let go in the summer.

90+ goals conceded in 50 odd games is appalling. 6 wins in 30 is equally bad. Those stats are the symptom of poor selections, poor recruitment and tactics. Fitness and stamina are another huge problem.. Yes I know Sullivan has probably negatively influenced the recruitment and I also know whoever comes in will probably be uninspiring and still have to put up with Sullivan but sometimes you just have to make the change.

Now if we go on an impressive run of results I will be the first to ear humble pie and admit ( as I have before ) that I was completely wrong.

He might get us some points tonight but he should still be let go based on the last 12 - 14 months. Again only my opinion :-)

Nice opening post, however there are major differences between us and those above us internally, behind the scenes.

I don't fancy tonight and I reckon they could score a bag full. I had a look on Bet365 and they're offering 125/1 for 0-4.

If we win? If?

We fucking will win! I have had £50 on us winning and over 3.5 goals in the game at 5/1

Not if but when we win tonight,it seems on here a lot of people don't support West Ham and want us to lose, very sad people or they don't support West Ham.

Finally, some positivity - no doubt you will get shot down in flames by the naysayers who want to see us lose tonight just to see the back of Bilic and cunt off the board - mugs!

And if we do win, we're still shit. We've been shit all year. That's the problem. It's shit mixed with more shit.

Re: IF we win tonight
Not sure anybody who is a fan wants us to lose. The only way I´d ever want that is if I had a shit load of money on it (wouldn´t ever bet on us losing!) or if we had a guaranteed brilliant manager to come in after the sacking. We won´t ever be privvy to that so it´s always just speculation.

Absolutely. You know the crowd will be right up for it at the start and assuming we don;t ship one in the first 10-15, they'll still be right up for it then.

That's when the players really have to kick on to make sure the crowd can sustain the positive vibes.

Unfortunately there will be of so called 'fans' secretly wanting us to lose tonight as their hated for Bilic is more than their love for the club.

Re: IF we win tonight
El Scorch i agree.

I agreww with everything everyone is saying tbh.

It isn't good enough and does need to be sorted, i would just like the fans to do their bit thought for 90 mins.

I remember when Pardew got sacked, In the October we had lost 5 on the spin i think, then we were at home and from the first whistle the crowd were up for it singing Alan Pardews claret and blue army.

It just rejuvenated the team and the ground and you could just sense that we were going to win, which we did.

However him fucking his pa and a players mrs was his downfall which we couldn't be blamed for!!

Roeder-nowhere 3:27 Mon Sep 11
Re: IF we win tonight
I don´t think Billic can emphasise enough how we need to go at them from the off. By that I don´t mean gung ho but snapping at their heels, getting stuck, energy and pace! Those are the things that will get the crowd going and it seems the fans are really the main motivators of this team!!

When we play Spurs/Chelsea and the team respond we give them all we can.

Absolutely- I said that we need to be only positive, and we'll start positive as we do with every match. BUT realistically an abject performance is going to illicit a change of mood with most in the stadium whether it's productive or not.

If the defending is farcical, the movement going forward non existent and the simple passes can't find their man, then those basic abject errors like we saw almost all last season are going to suck the noise and positivety out of the crowd.

This is why I said its important the players do their bit. I'm not saying we should turn on them if they are shit, but people will start to groan audibly after umpteen misplaced passes or poor bits of defending, It's just human nature.
